Striking a Balance: Understanding Pain Management and Opioids, thoughtfully balances the risks and benefits of safe opioid prescribing. It covers: effective patient assessment, creating patient-centered pain treatment plans, non-pharmaceutical pain treatment options, managing patients on opioid analgesics, educating patients and caregivers, and addressing opioid use disorder. This education meets the criteria outlined by SAMHSA to count toward the DEA’s MATE Act training requirements.
