Description: Obesity is associated with significant comorbid conditions including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and cancer, as well as reduced quality of life and poorer mental health. While primary care providers often manage obesity-related comorbidities, obesity itself is not often directly addressed and remains undertreated. This educational program supports the consistent delivery of evidence-based obesity counseling and treatment in primary care settings. It focuses on improving the understanding and skills of primary care clinicians in working with their patients to manage their weight through evidence-based actions based in cultural humility.

Hello friends,

I am excited to have this shared experience of knowledge exchange and brainstorming with you. I have dual board certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. I have been recognized as a fellow by the American College of Physicians (FACP) and have certification in cardiometabolic health from the Cardiometabolic Health Congress (CMHC). I enjoy learning about the healthcare industry and the complex dynamics of payers and providers. This has led me to acquire a Master's in healthcare management from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. My passion lies in educating inquisitive minds about identifying and managing complicated obesity.

I look forward to seeing you all in the highly interactive and informative session towards the end of your module.

see you soon
